Counter Strike Ultimate

Counter-Strike Ultimate is a PC first-person shooter game that functions as a remake and update of Counter-Strike Online.

This version of Counter-Strike takes the 1.6 release, puts it in a stand-alone package, and adds a slew of new features, such as new menus, rankings, etc., to make a more robust gaming experience. It's still the Counter-Strike you know and love but put together in a slightly nicer package. It's a great shooter game, and one that can quickly become a favorite for many players. If you're looking to play a classic, this is the best way to play the game.

The biggest issue with Ultimate is that it's still just Counter-Strike. The game is lovely and well-balanced, but it's an older release that won't stand up to the wants and needs of players who have become accustomed to modern games. There's something of a Catch-22 involved with the game itself - if you're a big enough fan of Counter-Strike to download this game, you probably already have Counter-Strike. Those who haven't been playing for years would probably be happier with something that's got a bit more of a modern flair.

This is a solid game, but it would have been a better download a few years ago. Some of the best features are already present in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and there's almost no chance that you'll get as much of a crowd for this game as you would get in a more modern release. Counter-Strike Ultimate is still a fantastic game, but it suffers from the ravages of time. Download it if you want a great game, but don't be surprised if it takes some time to find a match.
